Plzen and table hockey

We had organized the World Championship 2001 at the same place where Czech Open 2004 will be held. It was a big experience for the Czech Association and we hope also for all participating players. It was also the most successfull moment for the Czech table hockey players in their history. We won silver medals at the team competition in 2001.
The international table hockey is coming back to this place. Many things have happend since 2001. The most important for the place of event were hard floods in 2002:
During that period it was possible to catch fishes from the place where we play table hockey now. People working in this building say that some fishes died after swallowing down some small round black "something". Question is solved - we know what had caused it. That were those pucks which Pierre Ch. had looked for during the World Championship 2001. They were hidden around the playing place for one year. And when the floods came ...
There were no floods in the world of table hockey. Swedes still dominate. There were maybe some smaller waves but nothing changing this fact. Czech players have now a good chance to be a part of one of those waves and prove that they are still a part of the world table hockey elite. Jan Dryak had showed it at SM 2004 when finishing at 4th place in Sunday's group. But he isn't best player in the Czech tournaments ...
